As a Type A wife of a patient man and three energetic, unique, and precocious children, I am the happy and sad, energetic and tired, confused and on-top-of-things poster child for motherhood. Mothers are the ultimate multi-taskers. We work, teach, doctor, chauffeur, feed, and love many people every single day of our lives. We do all of this with no expectation of payment or thanks. While I would love to say that, in spite of all this, all is sweetness and light, I must admit that many days are full of trials. Our daily choice is how we choose to deal with these trials. Do we scream and beat our head against the wall? Do we cry and curl up into a ball? Do we laugh and mark the latest event as yet another memory for the books? Laughter promotes sanity within chaos - it certainly has in my home. - Brandye
