Living amongst some of Nottingham's slums, Carlton in the late 1960's early 70's Kids and dogs would be roaming the streets, waist grounds to rummage through where old houses had been demolished. Late summer nights out scrumping and playing marbles, or whip & top. Parents doing their own thing, arguing, fighting, unaware and careless of kids whereabouts. Kids were allowed to roam the streets carefree until dark and dogs were free to roam everywhere, Already a disturbed little boy, very shy and introvert, underdressed through poverty and living on the bread-line.
