In The Day I Shouted 'HalleluYah!', Giscard Nazon recounts how he unexpectedly came to a rich experience of offering praise to God. He also aims throughout the book to convey, through the understanding of interactions, perspectives, mindsets and outlooks, what he has found that it is to be a disciple of Jesus. He gets awfully transparent about his relationship with God, highlighting its beginning, moments of its growth, and how it reflects on all that he is. While his writing is autobiographical initially, he leaves plenty of room where the reader will find his focus to be either the edification of believers, the defense of the faith, evangelism for all or even the offer of a sensible approach to the question of God's existence. Still, Giscard does it all with a personal touch that would tend to make his personal relationship with Jesus undeniable to the reader or at the least invite to further inquiry into the matter.
