Light: The natural agent that stimulates sight and makes things visible; to illuminate. Into the Light focuses on the journey toward recovery. It opens with passages used in several of my books which succinctly describes my rationale behind the rendering. It is a recurring mantra of sorts. Life has a way of putting stumbling blocks in our path when we least expect them. Cancer, other serious illnesses, and even life situations can reduce us to our most basic equation. We are babes anew. Stripped of the trappings of the past. Forced to begin again. Status quo. Rebuilding our bodies, our minds, and our spirit. What you must do when this occurs is to remain encouraged! All that was, can and will be again! However, an integral part of a successful journey is to acknowledge that change has come into your life. Even though essentially, you are still you, alterations and adjustments are required, and accommodations must be made for a positive outcome. Rather than fight the changes, embrace them, incorporate them, and make them your own. Be as proactive as you can during your experience and share your observations about the experience with others. Learn the lesson within the Chinese proverb: "When the winds of change blow, some people build walls, others build windmills." The winds of change are blowing your way, build a windmill so as not to be blown away by the onslaught of change.
