Gold Production - the last 50 Years Bernd Kroeger

50 years ago the fixed gold price of $ 35 was abolished. Since then, gold prices have fluctuated daily and gold production has multiplied. The former champion of producing countries, South Africa, fell dramatically and the US, Canada, Australia and especially China took the lead. Five large ten-year cycles, defined by the gold price, are identified and analysed by the author. Especially the fifth cycle, which started with the price shock of 2012/13, is of particular interest. This book details the development of the main producing countries and major companies. In addition, an overview of the history of the 15 gold producers pouring more than one million ounces per year and a comprehensive index of mentioned gold mines complete the picture.
