While packing up their grandmother's house on moving day, two children find some interesting items from the past in her attic. One of these, their father's old bookshelf, is filled with all sorts of books. Taking a closer look, the children see that some of the books are quite disgusting looking and they ask their grandmother why. Little do they know, these books have a wonderful story of their own that tells how they've become so tattered and torn.
