"My Brother is An Animal" Inspiration ?When you get sentences thrown around by an upset older sibling, such as: "Mummy, he is an animal," and then five minutes later the same sibling declares: "I love my brother more than anything," you can't help but smile.
I find watching, listening and just being present with my boys is pure joy. Just like most siblings there is so much love and so many quarrels, but in the end love always wins. Although sometimes love takes a back seat for a while, it is always there no matter who is acting "like an animal" and who is being "so unfair". The relationship between my boys is very much like the one between my sister and I. There are countless stories about how much we annoyed each other, yet how we always had each other's back. I am sure you have got your own sibling stories to cherish too.
Out of this watching, and listening to my boys, and cherishing my own relationship with my sister, and how therapeutic I found the experience, came the inspiration to write this book.
