Stacey Abernathy was born in Anchorage, Alaska. She was raised mostly near and around Chicago, Illinois and Gary, Indiana near extended family. In her sophomore year of high school her parents her family moved down to Missouri. Living in a few cities in Missouri until settling down outside of Bolivar, Missouri where Stacey graduated High School. After the death of her mother in March 2010 she fought off depression for over a year trying to remain where her best friend, Candace Martralli was. In the summer of 2011 she moved down to Bogalusa, Louisiana where she currently resides. Shortly after she moved down her father and one sister moved down to Bogalusa. She lives with her dog, Gypsy, and her many cats. She continues to work on her writing in between working overnights and remodeling her house.
