Conure. Conures as Pets. Conures book for care, costs, health, feeding, grooming and training. Jodi Chapman

Conures are very sociable by nature and love interacting with their owners, which is one of the reasons they are popular as companion birds. Nonetheless, because they constantly crave human interaction, they can be extremely demanding of your time and attention. Hand-raised conures make brilliant pets, the main reason being that they are imprinted on humans, and quite honestly, believe that they are human. Companionship, admiration, and tradition are among the many reasons people choose to keep birds. Conures are good company-they are intelligent, interaction-seeking presences. They sometimes want to play, but more often they seek a flock relationship: a contact call first thing after waking, a greeting when you return, a desire to be involved in whatever you do. Admiration and fascination for the bird as a "being" is what initially draws people to these birds, and may be what grips some of us for a lifetime. Conure behavior isn't simple, but this book explains why conures do the funny and odd things that tend to baffle guardians. You'll get info on both normal and abnormal companion bird behaviors, as well as advice for living in a multiple-conure household. Included in this book: -A brief history of the conures -All types of conures -Choosing the right conure -Conure's behaviour -Everyday care -Feeding your conure -Grooming your conure -Having fun with your conure -Home sweet home -Keeping your conure healthy -Why keep a conure -.....and much more
