"I wonder if Hamish and I would ever have bought Weatherwood had we known what we were taking on. Its history began in 1813 with the transport of two convict women to Australia from England, then from Sydney, over the Blue Mountains to the Bathurst Plains. It didn't end until two hundred years later when we bought the property sight unseen and with no knowledge of what we were taking on It was foolhardy, but we were unable to resist. It was a case of nothing ventured, nothing gained. we signed on the dotted line, and Weatherwood became ours for better or for worse.
