A young penguin named Diego lives with his family in the hot, dry desert on the coast of Peru. Every morning, his parents waddle miles to the coast to catch fish for he and his sisters. The ocean is only a story until his papa tells Diego the next day will be his first trip to the beach! Whenever Diego's excitement takes over, he knocks over his sisters and forgets his manners. It is a long journey to the beach where the big, sleepy seals will not move. Diego remember his manners and say 'Excuse me please!" as he makes his way to the water for the first time with the help of his family and friends.
