Land Warmed by Song by Temur Chkuaseli (originally written in Georgian), initially was meant to be a film script, but it reads as an interesting novel describing a rather unusual adventure of a father and his son. Extremely dramatic twists and turns of life, unfolding against the backdrop of WWI and WWII in Georgia, Russia, Lithuania, France, Germany, and Turkey, catch the readers' eyes from the very first pages. The final part of the book which is based on a true story describes the relations between the Georgians who had migrated to France and the Jews living in Paris. Teimuraz Chkuaseli was born on September 1, 1944, in Tbilisi, Georgia. He is of Georgian nationality. After graduating from Tbilisi State University, he worked at a television station as a journalist. While working at the TV station, together with his friends, Teimuraz founded a nowadays legendary folklore ensemble The Georgian Voices. Temur began writing relatively late, at the age of 40. He has published seven books.
