Archie McLaren Libbie Agran

Archie's skills and passions enabled him to build enduring relationships in both the legal and wine world around the globe. These relationships, particularly with writers, chefs and winemakers permitted him to develop parallel careers: wine collector, wine writer, fine wine and auction consultant. He created a fine wine program on public radio KCBX for San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties, The Wine Drinkers Guide to Indulgence. He is celebrated as one of the co-founders of the Central Coast Wine Classic, which over thirty-three years raised millions for charity and helped put Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo wineries on the map of international collectors and aficionados. He has worked to launch charity auctions in Washington, D. C., Honolulu, Santa Monica, Mendocino, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Ynez, and Santa Barbara.
