Why do we have to suffer through trials? Many of the difficulties we face in life serve a purpose: strengthening us for what lies ahead in our lives and the lives of those we influence. Even in the most challenging circumstances, we can draw close to the Lord and receive strength. Looking back on my life, I see that many trials I faced have given me the necessary skills to conquer other issues and prepared me to help my children and others better endure what they faced.
