After teaching for two decades in North Carolina, A. J. Bucon returns to his high school alma mater in West Virginia as a person at the crossroads of his life. While on a quest to rediscover his passion for teaching and to reconnect with his past, the author finds a kindred spirit between himself and a group of high school students. Both teacher and students find common ground while traveling different directions in their own lives throughout the school year. Together they learn life lessons about who they are as individuals within a unique community, they develop faith in their own abilities to navigate changes that are so much a part of life, and they discover the means to make their corner of the world a better place not only now but on the divergent roads they will journey in the future.
