The Missing Moccasin shares a story of the Blackfoot Indians Nation through the eyes of a little girl named Nuttah. Even at age 5, she could see the distress in all the faces including her father's and the other villagers'. Although she did not fully understand the reasons why they had to leave their land in Montana and move to Canada, she would always try to cheer up her family and friends. The Blackfoot Nation was forced by the US government to move Canada and in their haste to leave the Great Lakes region before winter, many of their belongings were left behind.
