Words I'm Not Allowed to Say is for the people who were told they were too much or not enough. Those of us who are brave enough to risk saying what we were told was unsayable; the truth-seekers, rebels, warriors of love, explorers of dark caves and deep waters, defenders of desire, and adventurers of dreams. The poems in this collection consider human experiences many of us are having, but most of us are not talking about. It is a book about belonging to Self and each other, connecting our personal stories to our collective one, and finding freedom through telling our secrets. It gives permission for all of us to speak our stories as the best gifts we could give to the world.
