Join Jude Simon as he commences his journey through life at the hands and heart of Jesus. Jude is a bright and gifted young child growing up in a small southern Louisiana town with a true father figure to gudie him. His biological father died when he was a toddler and Jude found himself with a step-father whose only commom denominator between both male figures was serving in WW11. When Jude needed a "true father figure" he found himself turning to Jesus. His mother Joan remarried jack Hebert before Jude started school. Jack, who has a penchant for drinking is verbally and physically abusive to young Jude. Jude, being rather shy, also faced the cruelty of bullying by his classmates during his elementary school years. He finds his niche and acceptance by participating in pole-vaulting while in the eighth grade, however, pole-vaulting wasn't all he fell in love with. Jude became smitten and falls in love withthe town baker's daughter, Myra. Throughout his childhood, the one thing Jude held onto was his genuine faith and reliance and love of God. Due to his dediction to his faith, Jude finds God rewarding hjim as angels begins to appear to him.
