Detective Chief Inspector Ann Dixon believed that she had solved the gruesome murder when she arrested a suspect shortly after the crime had been committed. Only when the body count began to rise, does Ann realize the complexity of the challenges she faces in catching the elusive, cunning perpetrator. The murderer takes pleasure in leaving a cluster of red herrings at the crime scene, which results in tarnishing Ann's reputation. She is vilified and condemned by members of the press for procrastination and incompetence. Her problems are compounded by the fact that a mole in her team leaks classified information to the press. A book found at the scene of the crime is written in witches' code. The occurrence of a third murder uncovers evidence which leads police to search the childhood home of the two murdered men. A neighbour reveals the depravity of the victims during their adolescence and early adulthood. The woman who had been ensnared in the web of depravity, escapes the clutches of these monsters and returns to Russia. The woman is rescued during a white knuckle ride fight with her captors who are human trafficking villains. Ann agrees to a sado- masochistic tryst to discover the truth surrounding the satanic rituals. The kidnap and murder of a third victim within the same family uncovers evidence that there may be two perpetrators. Ann discovers that the second suspect is a Neo-Nazi and has fled to Brazil where it is known that he is involved with the drug cartels and terrorists. She assembles a task force which includes MI6, Interpol, DEA officers and Mossad agents, to travel to Brazil in pursuit of the suspect. The suspect is captured and returned to London.
