This book was written for people who want to start investing but who have "No knowledge" and "No Money". My name is Lem Lewis and this book was created for you. Its origin stems from a series of lectures I gave for several churches in my community. I am constantly asked for financial advice and especially by people of modest means who understand that they need to be saving and investing more, but quite frankly don't know how. I am from humble beginnings. My father was a factory worker and my mother cleaned homes. A lot of what is in this book I learned from them. Along the way, I was fortunate to get an undergraduate degree in Economics and a Masters in Business Administration ( MBA) from the University of Virginia. I have been a licensed investment advisor, served on the boards of 3 Fortune 500 companies and was Chairman of the Board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. What I learned from these experiences is that certain basic principles, certain behaviors, and certain outcomes are the same whether they are practiced by large corporations or regular people.
