WHISPER TO THE MOON

Modern prose poetry does not have to be difficult to understand, dull or boring. It is a beautiful form of expression. Poetry is a creative form of linguistic art that dwells somewhere between a song and a story. Sometimes a story written in poetic form carries more impact that than a lengthy story. A poem can touch your soul with the same passion as a song: if not greater. Sometimes a poem can awaken beautiful emotions in people that have been dormant a long time. It was an emotional experience writing Whisper To The Moon, it reconnected me with so many emotions the woes of life disabled.

Whisper To The Moon is my first published modern book of prose poetry. It contains wonderful poems about love and romance. It talks about all the joys being in love or falling in love can bring. It tells about the heartache and pain when you lose someone you love. The book talks about being in love with someone who does not return your love, losing someone you love, the death of someone you love, and of secret love. Sample Poem From Whisper To The Moon
Here I am

Here I am,
like a small, frightened child
lurking in the shadows,
so desperately in love
with you I am,
so long I have known you
yet,
I never dared tell you how I feel.

Each day,
I amble through it in a haze,
each night
the nightmares haunt me
that someday,
you will fall in love with someone else,
and
any chance I might have to win your love
will be forever lost.

I wonder if you know I exist,
or if you noticed me admire you,
you are amazing,
so much I love you.

So despondent I am
simply because
I do not know how to approach you,
loving you in silence causes great pain,
the fear of telling you I love you
is over-powering: it is paralysing.

Adoring you from afar
has driven me insane,
I no longer
can bear to hold this secret,
so here I am
shy, meek, and filled with trepidation,

I stand before you
with a small bunch of flowers in my hand,
here you are
more stunning than the evening sun,
you see the flowers in my trembling hand,
your smile is shy, it is sweet,
I say,

"Please accept these flowers,
I picked them just for you."

For a moment, you gaze at me
with your angel eyes,
then your eyes fall upon the flowers,
a timid smile forms on your face,
you gaze deep into my eyes,
a tear forms in your eye,
it trickles down your cheek,
no words are spoken,
we move close to each other,
our arms fold around each other,
our lips meet,
your heart beats in rhythm with mine.
