A cinematic retelling of the life of Alexandre Grimod de La Reynière, arguably the father of the restaurant. Presented in standard industry screenplay format, it visually shows Alexandre Grimod de La Reynière's arc of life, from a shy, hidden, deformed young boy in a turbulent aristocratic familial household to his culmination as inspirer of the French revolution and first food writer and restaurant guide author. Remarkably for such a luminary figure whom wrote many books on the proper way to carve meat, hold fork, knife, etcetera, he had no hands. The screenplay tracks his evolution and what made him become whom and what he eventually became.
