New experiences lie ahead as Anne Shirley packs her sacks, waves farewell to adolescence, and heads for Redmond College. With her old companion Prissy Grant holding up in the clamoring city of Kingsport and her paltry new companion Philippa Gordon next to her, Anne tucks her recollections of rustic Avonlea away and finds life all alone terms, loaded up with shocks . . . counting a proposition to be engaged from the most exceedingly terrible individual conceivable, the closeout of her absolute first story, and a catastrophe that shows her an excruciating exercise. However, tears go to giggling when Anne and her companions move into an old cabin and an ornery dark feline takes her heart. Little does Anne realize that attractive Gilbert Blythe needs to win her heart, as well. Abruptly Anne must choose whether she's prepared for adoration.
