Wendy Chapman, a 9 year old girl, has spent her whole life in and out of foster homes. Her parents abandoned her as a baby and she has no idea why or where they are. After living in four different houses in four years, she's given up hope of ever having a permanent family. Then, one day, a lovely couple, John and Bev, decide to take Wendy into their home, which already has SIX OTHER FOSTER KIDS! So Wendy goes from having no brothers and sisters to a lot of them!It's not long after moving to her new house that Wendy starts a diary because she is having trouble adjusting to her new environment.
