In the 27th century a vast galactic civilization extends across space and time. The future is filled with technological marvels and esoteric mysteries, and is also fraught with dangers both known and unknown. Jake Thomason and Grady Holmes were paramedics who responded to calls, along with their firefighting brethren, out in the vastness of a frontier known as the Border Zone. Their days were filled with asteroid landings, orbital entries, and faster-than-light Q-Drive jumps, but they were rivals and they had to find a way to band together to confront the crisis of their times or their world may be changed beyond recognition.
