There are different ways to learn from the Bible. In this book the author tries to learn from phrases, pieces of sentences. Some of these phrases are prepositional, such as "with a holy kiss" or "in the presence of Christ." Other phrases are adjectival- "poor and needy"-or adverbial- "more and more." If there is a verb in the phrase, it is a participle- "expecting nothing in return," "filled with all the fullness of God." It is like holding up a beautiful necklace and focusing all ome's attention on one of the gems in the necklace.
