The Lord commissioned me to write this book after being freed from the stronghold of desperation. This stronghold had gripped my mind for much of my life. My life's journey has been filled with rejection, loneliness, hurt, pain, a failed marriage, and a quest for love. While writing this book, the Lord showed me how this stronghold operates, how it alters a person's thought processes, and how it gets into your mind. The Lord revealed its actions and how it takes root. How it enters a person's mind and alters their thought process. He also revealed how to destroy it through Him. A "stronghold" is an incorrect thinking pattern that has molded itself into an individual's way of thinking. A stronghold will keep your mind boxed in and will not allow you to function outside of that box. It has the ability to affect your feelings, how you respond to various situations in life, and it also plays a large role in your spiritual freedom. It may persuade a person to live a life of error, which is not the will of God. It is built upon deception. My mind had been functioning inside a box filled with nothing but emotions and feelings. Whenever I encountered a major decision in my life, it was made from an emotional standpoint. The Spirit of God was inside of me, but I did not allow the spirit to do a complete work within me. My mind constantly resisted the work of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost wanted to come after the stronghold! However, I resisted, and my mind wasn't able to fully transform or be renewed as the Bible speaks of in the book of Romans. The renewing of your mind is simply getting rid of old value systems and present thinking, and taking on the mind of Christ. So, I suffered many things because of my resistance. A stronghold will make you resist the wisdom, the counseling, and the instructions of God. To be set free, a person must be willing to fast, pray, and work. Your freedom comes with a cost! Your cost will be the dying of your flesh. You must allow the Holy Spirit and God's word to wash and cleanse you. The Spirit of God will seek out the areas in us where we are bound. Are you ready for transformation? Are you ready to tear down the strongholds through the Word of God? Are you ready to die so you can live in Christ? If so, this book is for you. God, bless you!!!
