This book has been used by the author at the College of Southern Nevada since 2018. It serves as a college freshman level finite mathematics textbook. The major topics in a typical finite mathematics course (mathematics of finance, set theory, linear algebra, counting techniques, probability and statistics) are covered. The book emphasizes the thinking and reasoning aspects of mathematics. The goal is to help students acquire certain amount of useful knowledge, and at the same time become better critical thinkers. Some new approaches to old topics and some new topics are included in the book.
