The Power of The Three - Gifter's Ring Saga P G Barnett

David and his half-sister were born within forty two seconds of one another from the same mother. Stacie, a healthy baby, was able to see things in a traditional manner but David was born seeing only darkness.

Learning that being born blind doesn't mean not seeing; David discovers the ability to see through the eyes of others.

Physical connection is all it takes. Yet there is something on the faces of his family he sees that troubles him. It isn't his physical appearance. When his mother makes physical contact he sees his own image through her eyes. The expression on the faces of his mother and aunt are the same every time.

They're afraid. They never speak of why they're afraid and after ten years of fearful looks and silent treatment David finally decides to seek out answers on his own, choosing to investigate the one place he and Stacie have been told to never go.

Known to the family as the punch bowl, it's a place where bad things happened before he and Stacie were born. With Stacie and his dog Chance by his side, David is soon plunged into a terrifying journey to a world where shadows are immortal. There he meets his father and The Blood Countess and from those meetings comes a sudden realization.

In this dimensional part of the universe, some answers are nothing more than doorways to more questions and sometimes answers to those questions might just kill you and the people you love.
