Their lives dramatically changed when a teenager doing 80 mph hit their car on a residential road near to their home. The crash they miraculously survived put Jan in the hospital for a month and rehabilitation for a year. With her therapy ended, they were resuming their lives when she suffered the first of three strokes in five months. This is their story. It relates the details of her injuries and strokes and the spiritual pathway of faith, hope, and action they have both been on ever since. Burroughs is a lay religious brother of the Anglican Order of Preachers (Dominican) and is an Associate of the Dominican Sisters of Racine, Wisconsin. He is a former U. S.
