Author, Thea Hughes, walked the el Camino Trail and drew on her experiences to write The Red Door. Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, she lives in Auckland, New Zealand, with her husband, four children, and four grandchildren. Her next novel, Cry for the Moon, is set during the Apartheid years in South Africa.
