Life goes on despite our worst efforts, and wallowing will not change this. So why bother? The good parts are far more interesting and rewarding and all you need do is choose the path that leads to it. I hope that this book leaves you uplifted as much as its creation made me aware of my fortunate current state. It is an odd conundrum that negative events evoke greater memory traps than the positive aspects of our lives. We can describe in detail even minor trauma far more readily than the wonders of a stunning sunset. I often ponder this and grieve over the amount of energy expended on the negative.
