From the first page, it is obvious that Maria's life has been one long adventure. She has clearly thoroughly enjoyed her life with all its ups and downs and has learnt that as hard as it is at times, life must still go on.

Having been the proud owner of six hairdressing salons and being a florist, she is an accomplished businesswoman who has taken every opportunity that came her way.

She has travelled widely and experienced how different people live; it has given her a broad outlook on life, which comes through in her writing. Maria has had six husbands, all of whom brought her happiness and heartache in differing degrees.
