Growing into womanhood and being, one must learn that tea leaves can not be taken in on their own. One learns to add some sugar to sweeten the journey. She must add honey to make the walk that much smoother. And she uses enough ice to not be gullible. She is learning that she needs sugar or honey, to endure life's bitter tea, as she pushes through her journey to knowledge of self. A journey of love and lessons and self-acceptance, but most importantly, growth.
