This book contains about 51,000 words and is a collection of children's stories, poems, riddles, jokes, and plays that I have written over the course of thirty-seven years. It also has excerpts from a few of my other books that I believe children and even adults will enjoy. The book is also full of pictures and photos of birds and animals. A teacher, that bought a copy of an earlier version of this book for his two young children, once told me, "My kids would never sit still and listen to a story being read to them until this book." Another little boy, upon seeing the pictures inside of the earlier version, exclaimed, "I love it already!"Although this book is mostly for children, people of all ages will enjoy much of it as it brings back fond memories of their childhood. The people and events in the section from my books "Life on Pigeon Creek" and the updated version, "Life along Little Pigeon Creek" are real and true and give a rare glimpse into rural life in America during the 1950s and early 1960s. I also have included several additional stories and excerpts from some of my other books: "The Golden Sparrow", "Invasion of the Dregs," "The Creature of O'Minee," "My Favorite Poems", and "Do Pets go to Heaven?" I'm sure there are stories that the entire family will enjoy.
