Follow Me. These words were spoken by Jesus Christ. Within them is a call to discipleship and later, a commission to make disciples. How is this done? What does discipleship look like? What are the goals of discipleship? How are church members to grow? How can the community be reached for Christ? Readers will learn the answers to these questions and many more. Disciples will: - Learn the importance and biblical nature of discipleship, meeting with other disciples, reading Scripture, praying, journaling, and reading supplemental materials in order to grow in Christlikeness. - Become equipped to read, interpret, understand, and apply Scripture. - Become acquainted with the disciplines of the Christian Life and commit to practicing them. - Acquire knowledge of spiritual warfare and the training necessary to use the spiritual armor against Satan, the flesh, and the world. - Learn the doctrines of Scripture and the importance of God's word in life, the church, evangelism, and missions. Follow Me: Christ's Call and Commission to Make Disciples was written in outline form in order for pastors, teachers, and discipleship leaders to have convenient access to teachable materials on such an important and needed subject. Discipleship is not an option. Discipleship is necessary in order to obey the Lord Jesus Christ. The questions are not, "Will you be a disciple"? or "Will you make disciples"?, but, "Will you obey the Lord"? "Will you follow Christ and his example"? "Will you fulfill the call and commission to make disciples"? Study questions are included
