In Visions & Symbols, J. P. ANAKWUE is purveyor of dream-reality. At what point do dreams stop for reality to start? And how does reality bear out dreams in waking consciousness? This is the concern of the poet. His exploratory and experimental style uses nature poetry to examine the human condition that has proven to be exploitative, corrupt and rotten. Man harms himself as well as nature that sustains him; even nature's ability to regenerate itself is stretched to the limit by the puny acts of man. How does man cure himself of his destructive instinct and reinvent himself and be in tandem with nature and so apply nature's regenerative principles on how he conducts his affairs in society?
