This book contains some of the recipes that were held from generation to generation and treasured by my Mom, my Grandmother, her Mother, and on. They are recipes known to be a favorite by everyone who tastes them. Sometimes the recipe includes one special ingredient that makes it have a preferred taste. Other times the recipe is different in many ways. There are recipes handed down that did not have a written recipe but were unlike any other. There is a plan to publicize these in the future. Every year the Venison Hash recipe was prepared during hunting season. Every deer hunter has a favorite dish made with deer, and this one was many people's favorite. There were recipes prepared each year without fail during the holidays. These include the Christmas candies, Festive Cookies, and the Deluxe Cream Cheese cake (we called it "the five pound cheesecake"). A regular dressing was not ever prepared, but the classic Chicken & Dressing, which makes plenty to continue enjoying during Christmas dinner throughout the New Year celebration. These published recipes are with hopes that you will have fun preparing, eating, and will add one or more to your favorite collection.
