This book is a compilation of notes and information, Polaroid photos and conventional film photos that were gathered in the mid to late 1980s by Robert and Nancy Melson on their travels through Vermont. The accuracy in the data and the labeling of the photos cannot be guaranteed. This book is intended to serve as a method of looking at the status of these bridges during the late 1980s. Their status may be different today. It is not intended to describe every covered bridge in the state - just many of the ones from Brattleboro to Woodstock and from Bennington to Middlebury.
