Testaments: Poems in Witness of the Covenant Alfred Hanley 1. izdevums

"Testaments: Poems in Witness of the Covenant" is a collection of poetry written over a four decade period. As the title suggests, the poems give lyrical witness to the covenant which a redeemed humanity has with its Saving God - realized through prayerful contemplation of Scripture and Sacred Mystery, of nature and ordinary experience. Cast in various verse forms, from rhymed and measured to freer structures, these psalmic meditations move through the cycle of salvation as told in Holy Writ and as experienced by the individual soul - through contrition and supplication, gratitude and worship - tracing as they go the emblems of redemption inherent in creation.
