This memoir will touch a nerve with anyone who has ever been in love or, ever thought that perhaps, they might be. The reader will become captivated by this very human story from the first page to the last. It is a true tale of a young naïve English girl growing up in England and marring in the sixties. The man she married she believed, foolishly, would keep her safe for the rest of her life. Not only did she love her husband and respect his work-ethic and creativity but, he made her laugh, and laughter is a very strong aphrodisiac. It was not long after they were married that he became a household name in his field as a T. V. director of musical shows, videos and documentaries and, dealing with all the temptations that came with his involvement in the entertainment business on an almost daily basis. She tried desperately for many years to keep the marriage together and in doing so, managed to almost kill him along the way. Not wanting to give up on the man she loved so much she followed him to New York and then on to Los Angeles. The real possibility of divorce was so completely un-acceptable to her, but somehow, finally, she was tricked into it. It is also a story of the four efforts she made to replace her failed marriage with four very different, colorful, creative characters. There are, unfortunately, thousands of women who will identify with some part of her story which the author has tried to tell simply, honestly and with humor because without laughter, sometimes life would be unbearable. I can promise this is a story that will test your emotions and give you cause to ponder on your own life. It will, for a while, entertain you and take you from all that is familiar. There are about 16 sketches to give the reader a visual of the story and a dozen or more original recipes to depict a person or location.... The locations of the story are set in England, New York, Florida, Jamaica and Los Angeles. .
