Do something. Even if its wrong. As an Investigative Reporter she was no stranger to upsetting society's bad actors. If you made your living sticking it to other people, you should be upset; when you get caught. Proving a link between South American police officials and the counterfeiting cartel had seemed right up her ally, but nothing had prepared her for being kidnapped and virtually abandoned to nature in the Amazon jungle. Being rescued had changed her life, but not her desire to investigate. Why anyone would put their life on the line to rescue someone they didn't even know, at all costs, was beyond her comprehension. What process trained these people? Was it nature or nurture? People had been hurt, maybe even killed during her rescue and she had to know why they'd done it. Her search for 'why' someone would accept that type of mission would take her into the pipeline of the special operations community. That experience would forever change her perception of a large segment of society. Investigating the bad guys had made her a pessimist, but these were the good guys. Searching for the answer to what had made that man do what he'd done for her in the jungle had become an obsession she would continue to pursue 'at all costs'.
