With One Accord: the Acts of the Apostles Joseph B. Conti

It is considered more a history book than a blueprint for us today. With megachurches all the rage, its teachings are often ignored. Just as Atlantis has sunk to the depths, so this mythic church is gone, never to return. But the book of Acts is the word of God and its churches the pattern for us. The power of Peter and Paul can be ours, if we would just believe what they say and get out of the apostles? way. In his excellent treatise With One Accord, author Joe Conti gives the reasons why: > Pentecost is anti-Babel, and prayer beats that building project > A megachurch has nothing to do with architecture or numbers > The apostles could not leave Jerusalem, for our faith is Ariel-centric > One accord will bring salvation or bring the sure judgment of God Journey with us through this book of transitions, as we tackle the themes of denominations, the gifts, and the call of Paul. Hero-worship and tradition are here, with commitment, conscience, and the fad-driven church. The world?s greatest soul-winner pays his dues because Christ has paid the price.
