Intriguing Science Fiction Short Stories and Tributes: Thrilling Adventures in Fantasy James M Lowrance

Publisher Marketing: Subtitle: "Thrilling Adventures in Fantasy" Among the subjects covered, is "time travel," "living prehistoric monsters of the deep," "Alfred Hitchcock -- a master of Sci-Fi as well as suspense," "Bigfoot -- a mystery finally solved?," and "UFOs -- a subject of reality and science fiction." With this book (at approximately 9,712 words in length), I have returned to my short story roots. I feel that stories of science fiction give many of us a nice little departure from the difficult realities of life and a short vacation from our problems. While we know the stories are derived from fantasy, we still find pleasure in contemplating the "what ifs" they present to our adventurous minds. It is my hope that the stories and tributes within the chapters of this book will do this very thing for its readers. - Jim Lowrance TABLE OF CONTENTS: CHAPTER ONE: The Day I Killed the Kickaloo Lake Monster (A Fish Tale of Science Fiction) CHAPTER TWO: Time Traveling 30 Years to the Past and Back to the Future (Jolted from 2009 to 1979 in a Split Second) CHAPTER THREE: Time Traveling Radio Transmissions (The Air Fan Who Knew Too Much) CHAPTER FOUR: Alfred Hitchcock: Master of SciFi as well as Suspense (My Tribute to the World's Greatest Movie Director) CHAPTER FIVE: Has the Mystery of Bigfoot Finally Been Solved?
