Phonics Monster - Book 5 offers a comprehensive introduction to advanced phonics "special sounds" that often must be memorized because they do not always follow phonics "rules" (war/wor, tion, ar/er/ir/or/ur, etc.). Each new sound is introduced with an extensive word list and several sentences, which are followed by various activities such as tongue twisters, speed-reading exercises, games, stories, and review quizzes and worksheets.
