Love Triangle: Anthology of Poetry and Short Stories Kate Valery

At times haunting, but also therapeutic and healing, Love Triangle explores the traumatizing effects of mental illness and exposes the feelings and emotions of someone who has suffered abuse.

Through poems and short stories-a portion of them written in Russian-author Kate Valery relates the experience of living with someone afflicted with mental illness and the abuse that follows. The title poem, "Love Triangle," captures the essence of the harrowing experience: / You, me, and the wicked wild animal / Nestled in your brain. / You, me, and the wicked wild animal / Tried to push me 'neath a train. / You, me, and the wicked wild animal / Tried to drown me in a pool. / You, me, and the wicked wild animal; / Thought that it would be so cool! /

Love Triangle not only delves into powerful emotions, but also serves to inspire. Augmented with photos and illustrations, this anthology encourages abused women to find the inner power to stand up for themselves, to fight for themselves, to run for freedom, to restore their souls, and to seek renewed self-esteem, success, respect, life, and love.
