A young girl named Carly, living in an ancient world, discovered some rocks with ancient writing on them. To find out what the writing said, she traveled to a Monastery. There a monk directed her to an old hermit who lived in a cave in the mountains. The hermit told her that she was the chosen one to carry the message of the Ancients to the present time. After serious consideration, Carly accepted the mission, and started her training. Almost simultaneously, a young man named Jarod, through a series of coincidences saw Carly in her travels and learned a little of her mission. On his return from the trip, Jarod became trapped when the roof collapsed in a hut in which he was staying to weather out a storm. The Hermit appeared to him and told him that if he could overcome his entrapment, he would be the guardian of the message carrier. With clever reasoning, Jarod freed himself, and with the help of a map found the cave and Carly. For three years, Jarod guarded and took care of Carly while she studied and learned from the ancient scrolls that were stored in the cave. With this education Carly gained knowledge of the awesome powers which were needed to fulfill her mission. Carly and Jarod traveled to an ancient stone monument that had become damaged by an earthquake. Using the power of her mind with two amulets as focusing devices, Carly repaired the monument. The monument was now ready to open the door to the future.
