They say that there are those who go through life in search of a cause, something to embrace that will provide the satisfaction of some internal psychological shortcoming. For Gerard Wiener, there was never an internal drive to fulfill a burning void in his life; a void that needed a cause to quench the thirst for mental relief stemming from some pent up anxiety or a psychological scar carried over from childhood. There was forethought, or even the slightest hint, of why he would get involved with a cause that, carried to its expected diabolical conclusion, would change the course of history.
