This book shows you the body as hospital doctors see it in every day practice in modern hospitals. Nearly every bone, joint and organ is demonstrated on X rays and scans with text outlining basic features and functions. The book is aimed at the general public who are increasingly interested in medicine and health in general but will also be of interest to anyone considering a career in medicine, nursing, physiotherapy, radiography, human biology or who has suffered a slipped disc, pneumonia or arthritis. Robert Angus was born in North East England but lived in London during the 1970s when he studied medicine and worked as a junior hospital doctor. He returned home to train and work as a radiologist. The majority of the films and scans presented in this anatomy guide have been collected during the last six months but a number are from his teaching file collected over a radiological career spanning over thirty years. He continues to work as a consultant radiologist with an interest in chest radiology.
