Life is good for 11 year old Jimmy. he enjoys his friends, day dreaming, fishing, his pet dog and playing baseball, basketball and football. Every year he looks forward to the family vacation they take at the New Jersey shore. This is the story of Jimmy, his father, his two buddies and their fathers participating in the Little Lehigh Fishing Contest. It is a day that lives in the memory of Jim for the rest of his life, and lessons learned that serve him the rest of his days. James Curtis Geist is a graduate of Nyack College and the Alliance Theological Seminary. He served as a pastor for five years in New York City, and as a high school history teacher for 16 years in NYC and Newark. Presidents, four Children's books, and eight books of poetry and anecdotes. In 2010, Mr. Geist's students said, "Mr. Geist, you have so many funny stories, you should write a book." When Geist hit age 50, he began writing. As a fan of American poet Charles Bukowski, he tries to follow the advice of Bukowski which is, "Keep it short, and keep it interesting."
